Result of Election of Social Workers Registration Board Members

The election of members of the Social Workers Registration Board (“the Board”) was conducted on 14 December 2024. A total of 1900 ballots were received. Vote counting has begun immediately at the voting centres after the voting time ends. Computer system was used in the vote counting exercise which was observed by three members appointed by the Board. They were: Miss CHAN Mei-lan, Anna May, Mr. LAI Wing-hoi, Frederick, and Dr. LO Tak-lam, William.

With the void ballots being discarded, the result of the election was as follows:

The eight candidates receiving the highest number of votes, namely, Leung Pui Yu Pamela, Fong Fu Fai, Yuen Hon Lam Joseph, Lee Shuk Ha Carmen, Chiu Han Man, Leung Kin Hung, Lee Yuk Chi and Cheung Tat Ming were elected members of the Board for the new term from 16 January 2025 to 15 January 2028.

The data collected in the course of nomination and election are for the election of Board members for this term only (Tenure from 16 January 2025 to 15 January 2028). All returned ballots and relevant materials will be destroyed three months after the list of Board members of this term is gazetted.
